 What is SHIVARATHRI  or HALAHALAM?

PANCHABHOOTHA pollution which occurs in nature from Ekadashi to AMAVASI and also occurs during SHIVARATHRI is called HALAHALAM. Every movement of the human mind proceeds with the moon and most of the celebrations and rituals in India are related to the .Starting of moon from Ekadashi and THIRUVATHIRA in the month of DHANU 

The celebrations start from Ekadashi on THIRUVAATHIRA in the month of DHANUMASAM .  VASANTHA PANCHAMI and GURU POORNNIMA are celebrated in the month of SHRAAVANA. From there, the celebration reaches JNMA ASHTTAMI  in Krishna Paksha . Everything is based on the moon. Cancer is ( KARKKIDAKAM ) dominated by Black Moon.  Women to drink the sweetness of the full moon at THIRUVATHIRA .They spend the night dancing and singing. Note that there is a black moon in Shivaratri celebration as well.

The mind will be happy in the full moon.  The quills fluttered at the full moon.

When the full moon wanes and reaches the new moon, the diseases will worsen.

SHIVARATHRI is the waning of the moon.  Plants will lose their goodness .It lasts for more than twelve hours. Know the specialness of  Shiva night. 

According to astrology, there will be severe DHOSHA  on the moon twice a year. Also Vinayaka Chaturthi which falls on Shukla Paksha in the month of Leo .It is Shiva night which is the fourth DESHI  of KUMBHA month .
